A class competition for grown-ups
Tom's Golden Feather Hunt
Tom the turkey has lost three golden feathers in TURKEY TROT!, Coach Ginge's Thanksgiving brain break. Watch it with your class, spot all three feathers and what's on each one, then enter your class to win a shout-out from Coach Ginge.
Free to enter · For teachers, parents and carers in the UK and US · Closes Sunday 29 November 2026
How it works
- Watch TURKEY TROT! together. It's on YouTube from Wednesday 11 November: about four minutes, standing up, no equipment.
- Spot the golden feathers. Three turn up along the way, each with a picture on it. The children call out what they see.
- A grown-up enters the class. Pick the three pictures, then give your name, email, your class's name and your town. Children never enter or type anything.
Entries go through a form at Tally (tally.so): enter your class here. This site itself still sets no cookies and collects nothing.
The prize
- Your class in the next Coach Ginge video: your class's name flown across Cotton Meadow on the plane's banner, and Coach Ginge saying hello to you by name.
- A short video just for your class from Coach Ginge, sent to you before the episode comes out.
- A Golden Paw certificate with your class's name, to print for the wall.
Only your class's name and town are ever shown (for example "Oak Class, Leeds"), in words you approve. Never a school's name, a child's name or a picture of anyone.
The rules
- Who runs it. The promoter is Chris Longden, the creator of Coach Ginge, 3 The Grove, Stoke, Plymouth, PL3 4AL, chris@longden.net. This competition is not sponsored, endorsed or run by YouTube or Google, or connected with them in any way.
- Who can enter. Adults aged 18 or over living in the United Kingdom or the United States (the 50 states and the District of Columbia), entering for a class they teach or a family they look after. Children can't enter. Void where prohibited.
- Free to enter. No purchase or payment of any kind is needed, and buying anything will not help you win.
- How to enter. Watch TURKEY TROT! on the Coach Ginge YouTube channel, then fill in the entry form linked from coachginge.com/feathers with the three pictures on Tom's golden feathers, your name, your email address, your class's or family's name, your town and your country. One entry per class or family; extra entries are not counted.
- Dates. Entries open at 8:00 am UK time on Wednesday 11 November 2026 and close at 11:59 pm UK time on Sunday 29 November 2026 (6:59 pm Eastern). Late entries are not counted.
- The draw. One winner is drawn at random from the entries with all three pictures right, on Monday 30 November 2026, by the promoter. If there are no correct entries, the winner is drawn from all entries.
- The winner. We'll email the winner by Monday 7 December 2026. If we don't hear back within 14 days, a new winner is drawn the same way. On request we'll share the winning class's name and town (and nothing else) by email.
- The prize. As described above: the class's name and a hello in a Coach Ginge video, a short video for the class, and a printable certificate. It has no cash value and there is no cash or other alternative. The words shown are agreed with the winner first, and only the class's name and town are used.
- Your information. We use what you enter only to run this competition: to check entries, pick and contact the winner, and make the prize. It is collected by Tally, our form provider, and deleted by 31 January 2027. If you tick the separate box to hear from Coach Ginge, we keep your name and email for that until you ask us to stop. Please don't put any child's name in the form. To see, correct or delete what we hold, email chris@longden.net.
- The fine print. If something beyond our control stops the competition running as planned, we may change or cancel it, and we'll say so on this page. By entering you agree to these rules. They're governed by the law of England and Wales.
